Day 1
Arrive in Santiago, Chile

Upon your arrival at Santiago’s international airport, a OneSeed staff member will be there to greet you and take you to their partner bed and breakfast. The bed and breakfast is located in the Providencia district just south of Santiago Metropolitan Park, which has several trails, a Japanese garden, and the National Zoo.

Day 2
Santiago to Torres del Paine National Park

Wake up early for a flight to Chilean Patagonia. After a 3.5 hour flight, meet your local trekking guide in Punta Arenas who will then accompany you to Torres del Paine National Park (4.5 hours private transport). On the way, soak up the beautiful views of the ocean surrounded by snow-capped peaks.

Day 3
Las Torres Camp

Today you'll begin the hike to the base of The Towers. Start the trek with daypacks and ascend through a rocky terrain cut by pristine glacial rivers. Gain two thousand feet in elevation as you climb through a beautiful lenga forest until reaching the base of the towers. Another shorter climb will put you meters from the towers and the emerald lake that sits at their base. Return to camp for the evening.

Total hiking: approximately 12 mile / 8 hours of trekking (*day pack only today)

Day 4
Las Torres Camp to Los Cuernos Camp

As you trek to Los Cuernos, spend most of the day nestled between Lake Nordenskjold and Mount Almirante Nieto of the Paine Massif. Arrive at Refugio Los Cuernos (“The Horns”) nestled between the two famous horned peaks, Cerro Hoja and Cerro Máscara.
Peak altitude: 797 feet
Total distance: 7 miles, approximately 7-8 hours of trekking

Day 5
Los Cuernos Camp to Paine Grande Camp

Head out from Los Cuernos and hike through Torres’ old-growth forest. Pass by the French Camp and arrive to the Italian Camp, which is the start to the French Valley. At the Italian Camp, drop your full backpacks and repack your food, water and windbreaker into your daypack for the hike into the French Valley. If you’re feeling up to it, hike an additional 8 miles round-trip into the French Valley for stunning 360 views of the park.
Peak altitude: 2,495 feet
Total distance: 9 miles, approximately 7-8 hours of trekking OR 17 miles, approximately 12 hours of trekking

Day 6
Paine Grande Camp to Grey Camp

Hike to Grey’s Glacier, an impressive ice field that covers the west end of the park. Enjoy the beauty of Pehoé Lake and Grey Lake as you approach the glacier. In the afternoon, spend time at camp or relax on the porch of Refugio Grey.

Total distance: 7 miles, approximately 4-5 hours of trekking

Day 7
Grey Camp

On the final day of trekking, make your way along Grey Glacier toward Campamento Paso. Join an optional ice hike or kayak through third party outfitter, Bigfoot Patagonia (if interested, it is suggested you make reservations in advance of your trip). Scale ladders and enjoy views of the glacier before returning to camp for dinner.

Total distance: 6-7 miles, approximately 6-8 hours trekking

Day 8
Grey Camp to Puerto Natales

Spend one final half day in the park. A 3-4 hour walk toward the lake will take you to the catamaran back to Pehoé and out of the park. Private transportation will be awaiting your arrival and you'll enjoy a scenic ride back to Puerto Natales. Share a farewell dinner with your guide before a restful night in a partner lodge.

Day 9
Puerto Natales to Calafate to El Chaltén

Take a bus from Puerto Natales to Calafate (unaccompanied, 5 hours) where you'll be driven to OneSeed's offices in Calafate. Continue on from Calafate by van about another three hours to the lodge in El Chaltén. Spend the evening exploring the quaint town of El Chaltén.

Day 10
El Chaltén to Laguna Torre / Poincenot Camp

Depart from the hotel and head west, hiking along the Fitz Roy River en route to Laguna Torre and Glacier Grande. At the end of the valley, see Laguna Torre, its glacier, and the famous Cerro Torre, which is considered one of the most difficult mountains in the world to climb. Next, head east, passing Lagunas Madre e Hija before reaching Poincenot Camp in the evening.

Total distance: 12 miles, approximately 6 hours of trekking

Day 11
Poincenot to Mt. Fitz Roy / Camp Poincenot

After breakfast, take a steep path toward Laguna de Los Tres, the closest you can get to Mt. Fitz Roy before needing technical skills. At the top, enjoy breathtaking views of Mt. Fitz Roy, its satellite mountains, and the valley through which you have come. Return to Poincenot for another evening.

Day 12
Poincenot to El Pilar to Laguna Condor

After breakfast, hike towards El Pilar, where a van will be waiting to take you to Laguna Condor Mountain Hut. Relax in the hot tub or take a bike for a ride around the area.

Total distance: 5 miles, approximately 3 hours of trekking

Day 13
Laguna Condor to Chaltén to Calafate

After breakfast, head back to El Chaltén, followed by a bus ride back to El Calafate.

Day 14
Calafate to Perito Moreno to Calafate

Take a two-hour bus ride to Perito Moreno where you'll have the day to explore the stunning Perito Moreno Glacier. The 97 square mile glacier stretches for as far as the eye can see. Enjoy the views and take in the awe-inspiring expansiveness of the blue ice.

Depart from El Calafate, Argentina

Say goodbye to Patagonia as you depart from Calafate and make your way back home.
