All trips are pending permit availability which are gained 24-weeks in advance. Please refrain from making travel arrangements until you have received confirmation from Lasting Adventures.

The snowpack this winter is at 180% and growing. Lasting Adventures anticipates a late opening for the Yosemite High Country with snow prevalent into July and beyond at higher elevations. River, creek, and waterfall flow will be at high and sometimes dangerous levels. Any trips through mid-late June can be impacted and back-up itineraries will be offered when necessary.

The closest airport is the Fresno-Yosemite International (FAT). From there, rent a car and drive to Curry Village or take public transportation via Yosemite Area Rapid Transit (YARTS).

Lasting Adventures will provide sleeping bags, sleeping pads and tents, and you will be camping in the Yosemite backcountry near high alpine lakes and streams.

Enjoy gourmet, backcountry cuisine except for Day 1 and breakfast on Day 2, as you will be on your own for those meals. Lasting Adventures is able to meet almost all dietary restrictions, so please let them know ahead of time if this is something you require.

This trip will cover most of your expenses but plan to bring cash for any meals on Day 1 and breakfast on Day 2 as those are not included in the trip price. Plan to bring a little extra if you would like to purchase souvenirs either before or after the trip as well.

Lasting Adventures will send a detailed packing list upon booking, but plan on bringing clothing that is easy to layer, a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, hiking boots, waterproof shell, trekking poles (if you prefer your own), day pack, flashlight and water bottle.

We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance for all trips. Travel insurance allows you to seek reimbursement if you are forced to cancel your trip for unforeseeable reasons, or if you need to cover medical help, emergency transport, and/or theft or accidental damage while traveling. On backpacking trips, the average group size is 2-4 people with at least one guide if not two. The largest backpacking trip would have 8-10 clients with at least two guides, if not three. Lasting Adventures strives for a 1:4 ratio on all trips. They also strive for small group sizes to maximize your experience.

You may cancel reservations up to 72 hours after a booking is made. After that time period, all cancellations/modifications will be granted at the sole discretion of the operator. Cancellation processing fees may apply.
