Escape to Costa Rica on this seven-day multi-sport trip and hike, kayak, and explore the diverse landscapes of this beautiful country. Make friends with the locals who enjoy living in harmony with Mother Nature and get a taste of Costa Rican culture.
The first and final days of the tour are spent in the capital of San Jose, giving you a chance to experience the culture of this thriving Central American city, try the local cuisine, and explore the museums and historic locations. Begin your adventure by rafting the Pacuare River, where you'll challenge its famed whitewater rapids and watch waterfalls cascading into the river from the canyon cliffs above. Afterwards, you'll head to Arenal Volcano National Park and witness the stark contrast between the dense rainforest and desolate lava fields, stopping at the natural hot springs nearby to swim or relax.
Crossing Lake Arenal as you leave the park, you'll travel by boat and 4X4 to the cloud forest at Monteverde, a hotspot of biological diversity with few equals anywhere else on the planet. While in Monteverde, you'll get a bird's eye view of the cloud forest on a zip-line canopy tour and a guided nature walk on its hanging walkways. You'll also take a horseback ride through the jungle and across a local coffee plantation, and learn how the locals live in harmony with nature to preserve this unique heritage.
Throughout the trip, you'll enjoy the services of local, bilingual guides from Green World Adventures, a socially responsible operator with over 10 years of experience in Costa Rica and a firm dedication to the absolute best customer service. This is your opportunity to experience some of Costa Rica's finest outdoor destinations!
