HR and Office Manager

 

Job Summary:

This is a full-time, mid-level HR and office management position reporting to the Sr. Director of Finance.  Previous HR Generalist experience is required. PHR certification is a plus. HR Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all HR management functions: employee relations, on-boarding, performance management, retention, benefits, compensation, recruiting, employee relations, etc.
  • Establish HR policies and procedures to provide guidance and solutions to managers and employees and maintain the corporate culture
  • Partner with the managers to support performance management and training & development initiatives.
  • Manage the new employee on-boarding process.  Set up new employees with all they need to get up and running on their first day – paperwork, equipment, benefits enrollment, new hire orientation, etc.
  • Manage the administration and data input of employee benefits plans, including all insurances,  flexible spending plans, time off programs, and other perks.  Oversee all changes to payroll.
  • Coordinate corporate internal communication program that includes organizing presentations for company-wide All Hands meetings.
  • Support the coordination of employee recognition efforts such as special events, community outreach, and teambuilding activities.  Oversee employee Fun Committee.  Coordinate all employee events such as holiday parties, etc.
  • Maintain employment records, including unemployment and workers’ comp claims. Archiving performance records.  Tracking changes to payroll & benefits, etc.
  • Work closely with managers and executives in coordinating employee experience programs and policies.
  • Assist in other operational and administrative areas as needed.
  • Support a continuation of making The Clymb a great place to work.

 

Office Management Responsibilities:

  • General organization of office. Order/organize all office-related supplies.
  • Kitchen management. Keep office and kitchen spaces neat and organized. Stock office common areas, conference rooms and kitchens.
  • Develop, maintain and document systems and protocols regarding all office operations.
  • Collect and distribute mail.
  • Work with the Executive Team to oversee selection, purchase, and installation of office furnishings, lighting, flooring, fixtures etc.
  • Manage contracts; solicit, compare, and negotiate vendor quotes; dispose of unneeded office furniture and equipment.
  • Coordinate accounts and equipment related to the office, including copier, alarm, shipping, janitorial, water, trash, floral, etc.  
  • Act as key liaison with building services vendors.  Select and manager cleaning, maintenance, and repair crews. Monitor cleaning crews, ensuring environmentally friendly yet effective cleaning methods.
  • Act as the emergency contact for the Corporate Office. Keep staff informed and be the go-to person for information pertaining to office procedures and protocols.
  • Regularly assess and provide for the maintenance and repair of:
    • Building
    • Plumbing
    • HVAC systems
    • Electrical systems
    • Security systems
    • Signage
    • Sound and lighting
    • Kitchen equipment
    • Office Equipment
  • Assist in the planning and organizing and support of corporate events, such as but not limited to: meetings, retreats, or parties. Research and book event venues; arrange for equipment and services; assist in the research and selection of caterers and other service providers.

 

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience in an HR generalist role
  • Deep knowledge of HR programs and practices, including state and federal employment laws and regulations
  • Can easily thrive working in fast paced, sometimes chaotic environment
  • Experience growing a company in team size and complexity
  • Detail-oriented, organized and a good team player
  • Bias towards finding solutions vs. shutting down ideas
  • Can relate to The Clymb's products and the Northwest outdoor lifestyle

Merchandising Event Manager

 

Job Summary:

The Merchandising Event Manager is responsible for leading and managing a progressive website merchandising team to deliver compelling product assortments that deliver excitement for our customers. This position owns all online marketing initiatives and works with merchants, planners, production and sales event teams to manage processes and rules that will inform the strategic sales event calendar.  

 

Responsibilities:

  • Work with a cross-functional team to build strategic merchandise marketing plans that will guide scheduling, merchandising event production and creative teams.
  • Manage plans to meet or exceed bottom line, sell-through goal, and gross margin impact.
  • Build rules and processes to align best customer practice through placing the right product at the right time with the right prices and promotional mix.
  • Work with buying team to proactively find opportunities with brand partners that add greater value to our customer experience.
  • Act as liaison between creative, content and merchandising teams to establish open communication and constant alignment.
  • Oversee management and merchandising of daily event sales including:
    • Monitoring the status of upcoming sales to ensure that they are loaded for launch on the website and that all assets (images, UPCs & product descriptions, etc.) are delivered on time.
    • Merchandising sales events in a visually pleasing way while taking into account seasonality, product assortment, and inventory levels.
    • Being aware of brand and/or product restrictions.
  • Supply the Event Merchandising team with guidance and specific criteria to allow them to curate successful, on-point merchandising events.
  • Review and approve all merchandising events before going live:
    • Provide feedback and constructive criticism to Event Merchandisers regarding merch assortment, product selection, and homescreen captions.
  • Provide overall direction and leadership to the Event Merchandising team and Merchandise Operations Coordinator.
  • Act as the communication point for all event-related inquiries.
  • Monitor internal tracking system to ensure that all new events are created and in sync with the planning calendar.
  • Define and implement new tools to improve production.

 

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience in Merchandising, with previous management experience
  • Deep knowledge of Merchandising programs and practices, as well as project management
  • Can easily thrive working in fast paced, sometimes chaotic environment
  • Experience growing a company in team size and complexity
  • Detail-oriented, organized and a good team player
  • Bias towards finding solutions vs. shutting down ideas
