Event Merchandiser


Job Summary:

Do you have a creative eye and enjoy working behind the scene in a fast-paced environment?  Look no further!  The Clymb is seeking an Event Merchandiser to curate Events based on input from Marketing.  As the Event Merchandiser you will manage the creation and delivery of high quality sales events.  Acting as the liaison between departments, the Event Merchandiser will possess a strong aesthetic sense and communicate clearly while balancing competing priorities.  This is a great opportunity for learning and professional development with exposure to multiple facets of the organization while working with an energetic team that embraces the entrepreneurial spirit.



  • Oversees creation and production of daily merchandising events including:
    • Recommends event themes, product assortments and calendaring.
    • Creates and monitors development of upcoming sales to ensure that they are complete in sync with the planning calendar.
    • Merchandises event product assortments to pique consumer interest while factoring seasonality, product assortment, and inventory levels.
    • Identifies new processes/tools to improve production efficiencies.


  • Ensures events are approved and on strategy at launch to support revenue targets:
    • Manages production to make sure event objectives are upheld and effectively communicated in the customer experience.
    • Demonstrates flexibility to make updates based on product inventory levels and sales trends.
    • Analyzes past event performance to evolve curation approach for future events.
  • Takes on additional responsibilities as necessary.



  • Demonstrated success in working with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within scope.  Project Management experience a plus.
  • Understanding of basic Project Management concepts is a plus.
  • Previous merchandising experience or a keen eye for creating curated apparel & accessory collections. A creative eye is beneficial.
  • Strong communication skills, verbally and in writing.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office products, efficient in Excel and Word, more advanced skills a plus.
  • Must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and a self-starter. 
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.

Temporary Member Support Specialist


Who we are looking for:

Calling all Gear Junkies and Clymb Addicts alike! The Clymb is seeking an enthusiastic and Human-Powered-centric Member Support Specialist skilled in up-to-date technology and customer satisfaction methodologies. This is a temporary, seasonal position to work with our Member Support team during the peak holiday season for 40 hrs/wk on a temporary basis (through January 3rd). Potential temp-to-hire opportunity. As a Member Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service by responding efficiently, accurately and courteously on all consumer interactions with The Clymb through inbound calls, and email correspondence. We are recruiting to fill 2 openings.


The ideal candidate will have a customer friendly demeanor, excellent communication and organizational skills and be passionate about the culture and products represented on The Clymb’s website.   • Provide members with an exceptional experience every time they contact us.
  • Deliver thoughtful, timely solutions to member inquiries via telephone and email.
  • Sells additional services by recognizing opportunities to up-sell accounts; explaining new features.
  • Solicit member feedback to continuously improve the customer experience.
  • Utilize knowledge of the products we sell to assist members in making informed product decisions and purchases.
  • Proactively solve problems upstream.
  • Help troubleshoot technical difficulties.
  • Meet all team deadlines and responsibilities.
  • Communicate suggestions and ideas to enhance department and company culture.



  • 1-2 years of related work experience.
  • Product knowledge of the gear we sell.
  • Communication- must have excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to listen and understand the views of others.  
  • Strong analytical and PC skills, Microsoft Excel skills a plus.
  • College degree preferred.  
  • Unrelenting passion for outdoor, snow sports, cycling and/or action sports.
